We are becoming better skippers in the gym, despite the snow and ice outside. Today, students used long ropes and were in groups of 3-4. We all tried to skip to the Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear rhyme! Perhaps some family members could share their past skipping favourites to us, as it turns out we know very few skipping rhymes! Students turning the rope did a good job and we are now working on cooperation, clear communication, timing and perseverance when our shoulders/arms get sore! We will focus on long ropes for most of this week.

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, turn around, [skipper turns around]
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, touch the ground, [skipper squats to touch ground while skipping]
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, show your shoe, [skipper lifts one foot to show shoe]
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, that will do!
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, go upstairs, [skipper pretends to climb stairs]
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, brush your hair, [skipper touches head]
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, turn out the lights, [skipper closes eyes]
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear,, say good-night! [skipper jumps out of rope to sidelines]
