Happy Wednesday! Did you WALK, ride, wheel, scoot to school as part of WALKTOBER or Take Me Outside day?

Hello Everyone!

It has been a while, time has escaped me!  If you have been checking, thank you.  I was away sick yesterday, but the guest teacher left a lovely note about my helpers!  Thanks STUDENTS!

Some things to return:

-Hopefully students celebrated their knowledge of PLACE VALUE with families? Please return the place value assessment SIGNED by a parent/family member (sent home Monday).  I would like this back, so I can compare growth over time, eventually it will go home for good.

-A background about heritage is coming home today.  Students should share about his/her heritage by recording 3 answers and returning it to school for THURSDAY.  We will be running the Remembrance Day assembly (November 8th close to 11 am) and this knowledge will help us plan!

NEWS:

-We have a field trip to FISH CREEK PARK on November 13th!  A message was emailed out to families earlier in the week.    INFORMATION LETTER (for you, no need to print this).  We already have 5 volunteers, as our Room Parent Brianne, contacted you all via email or I asked you at Conferences in September!  I will send home volunteer forms today!

HOME READING WILL COME HOME TOMORROW.  I JUST HAD TIME TO SWITCH IT NOW (at 4:20 pm)!  Thanks for your patience.  Also, just to let you know, I will start reward students for regular home reading, as they can earn special trader cards (nature cards or the Flames)!  To earn one card, students need to have regularly read and returned one whole READING LOG (front and back).
